Talking of books, a brief review in Saturday's Guardian led me to two books by Prof. Colin Crouch: The Strange Non-Death of Neoliberalism, with a chapter on "Privatized Keynesianism" (http://politybooks.com/book.asp?ref=9780745651200 ), and his earlier Post-Democracy (http://www.polity.co.uk/book.asp?ref=0745633153 ), both of which seem very relevant. I also came across Nick Couldry's Why Voice Matters: Culture and Politics After Neoliberalism (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Why-Voice-Matters-Politics-Neoliberalism/dp/1848606621 ). They might be of some help in thinking *beyond* the crisis, rather than simply waiting for the sh*t to hit the fan (not that I'd accuse anyone here of doing that).
