Bankers in Black

When I listen to our governments I am starting to feel that I have somehow slipped into the film Men in Black.  How else are we supposed to explain that we are now expected to completely forget that it was the banks who created, and are now profiting from, the global catastrophe of debts and cuts.

When I hear our financial experts and journalists ‘explaining’ how things are, I can’t help it – I start to hear Tommy Lee Jones speaking instead:

“Gather round please, ladies and gentlemen. If I could just have your attention over here for a moment.  That’s right! If you could just look over where you see the red light.  Now I’m going to need  you all to empty your pockets.

Yes, that’s right sir. If you don’t mind. All your cash. Right here if you please.

Its for your own good. All the money in a pile here folks.  That’s righ. Quick as you can, madam.

Thank you.

Now just look at the red light. That’s great. We need to take your cash from you to give it to some bankers.

FLASH.

Now you are going to remember that this whole crisis had nothing to do with bankers blowing up their own banks. You are going to remember that all the debt was caused by evil social workers in league with lazy welfare scroungers and feckless good for nothing teachers. You are going to hate them and realize they have been running up debts all these years. And you will know that only the bankers can save you. But they can only do this is we rally round and give them all our money.
