A correction to an earlier post I got wrong. Very Sorry!!

I GOT THIS ONE (Could Greece have stepped on a trip wire today. Titlos again.) WRONG!

The down grade on that day was, I now realise, to National Bank of Greece’s debt, the country’s biggest private bank and most of its other big banks as well. I’m afraid I read National Bank of Greece and mistook this for the central bank. Bad mistake! SORRY!

However, it turns out that In fact today, 22 April, Moodys DID downgrade Greek Sovereign rating but only to A3. But A3 is only one grade above the Baa rating I was talking about. SO this means the comment I made in the previous post while it was wrong when I wrote it, is now very close to coming true.

Once again SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE.

Please may I request that you add your blog address to your comments in the Guardian?

I know that you're probably a self-deprecating sort of person but it would be nice if some of the more knowledgeable CIFers could review your work here.

Some of the Guardian comments are becoming very polarised as the election draws near. I think that the level of debate would be higher here.

    Keep up the good work.

    Alan Slough,

Thank you for suggesting the debate would be higher here. That's very generous of you. Like you I find the party political name calling to be frustratingly beside the point.

I would be more than pleased if there was more debate here. I am always most grateful when people leave comments and solicit each others thoughts.

As for leaving my blog address at the Guardian I can't help feeling weird doing that.
